This is it for Marko Stunt. After reports that his contract is set for a May expiration, Fightful Select has indeed confirmed that he is on his way out. In their exclusive report, Fightful has reported that Stunt was notified by Talent Relations that they would not be renewing, citing budget cuts and an ever growing roster.
Stunt has been off all AEW programming for about six months at this point, having sustained a concussion in October. Though he has long since recovered from said injury, the company has neglected to book him nor give a solid reason why, despite Marko’s best efforts to reach out and make a return to the ring. It has been cited that previous plans for Jurassic Express had been scrapped in favor of taking a new direction.
Word is the split was amicable and it was a productive, civil conversation.
