Ring of Honor presented its first show in a post-hiatus world in Dallas, Texas. It’s the first show since Tony Khan’s acquisition of the promotion and it was a happening. The show featured excellent matches up-and-down the card, headlined by a World Championship match between Bandido and Jonathan Gresham and a Tag Team Championship match between FTR and incumbent champions Mark and Jay Briscoe.
During the show, a myriad of surprises were pulled out from the sleeve, as Tully Blanchard announced the new member of his, as Bodyslam contributor Kyle Sparks aptly observed, ‘stable of hosses.’ Kaun, Brian Cage and Toa Liona now represent Tully Blanchard Enterprises. Samoa Joe also returned to the promotion, choking out Sonjay Dutt while staring down his former protege, Jay Lethal, who had turned heel previously in the event. Following the match between Dem Boys and FTR, The Young Bucks made their presence evident. Overall, four new champions were crowned, including the first championship stateside for the legendary Minoru Suzuki.
