Major Star Finished With New Japan Pro Wrestling
Major overseas New Japan Pro Wrestling star Juice Robinson has today announced that he will no longer be wrestling for NJPW, once his contract expires at the end of this month.
Juice was speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio with Bryan Alvarez and Mike Sempervive, and stated that he had no real desire to continue wrestling currently, and has no plans to travel back to Japan.
“I don’t have plans to travel back over [to Japan]. I am at the end of my contract. I did an extra three month extension and that ends April 30th so that will be that. I will not be wrestling under the New Japan banner any longer.”
When pressed further and asked if there were any opponents that could potentially interest Juice, to continue or return to wrestling, Robinson stated:
“no, I don’t really have anybody that I wanna wrestle. There’s nothing that really – I just don’t have the urge to wrestle really anymore.”
Robinson is a former IWGP United States Champion, a former IWGP Tag Team Champion, and the 2019 winner of The World Tag League with his partner David Finlay. He is also the husband of Toni Storm, who recently debuted on All Elite Wrestling, upon the completion of her 90 day no compete clause following her release from WWE.
