Former Women’s champion Asuka has been absent from our tv screens since July of last year.
However, it appears her return to WWE TV may be imminent as Fightful Select reports that creative are preparing for her return to the ring. The plan was for her to enter at least a short-term program with Becky Lynch as soon as Monday’s Raw, though as is always the case, nothing for WWE TV (or pro wrestling TV) until it actually happens.
“There are imminent plans for Asuka to return to WWE Raw, as of this weekend. As mentioned previously Asuka has been off TV since last July, where she was a part of the Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match. Asuka has been a noticeable absence since her break began and her imminent return will be welcomed by fans. She has faced Becky Lynch repeatedly, and a non-title women’s program would be welcomed by many.
