It was John Cena’s birthday yesterday and one person who sent a shout out Cena’s way was Austin Theory, who posted a video on Twitter yesterday running his mouth to a young Cena fan. Cena replied to the tweet in the only way the sixteen time world champion knows how: With a compliment and a lesson.
Everyone understands that you have far more talent, strength, and gifts than I ever had. Don’t apologize for that. Ever. An apology should come 20 years from now if you fail to provide the EFFORT needed to turn your potential into your legacy. I hope that day never comes.
Theory has been more than vocal in the past in his desire to wrestle one of the greatest of all time in Cena. In fact, his one dream match scenario would be a match where he would be the one to retire the legend. There have also been reports in recent months that Vince McMahon views the United States Champion as the next John Cena, with Theory publicly thanking Cena for the help and advice he’s given him over the years. Time will tell if Theory reaches his full potential and if he will heed the advice.
