The news that Joey Janela’s AEW contract is coming to close is not new news, as reports have been out for the last few months that Janela’s contract was set to expire, and Janela has now confirmed the day his contract expires on Twitter.
The 32 year old last appeared on AEW TV when he lost to Eddie Kingston on the January 8th edition of AEW Dark earlier this year. As he mentioned in his tweet, he has been signed to the promotion since 2019 and pokes fun in the tweet about how he spent his money as part of the contract, regardless of if Janela re-signs with AEW or stays in GCW, he will likely remain a name we will see more from in the future.
