LA Knight Done In NXT, Permanently Called Up
When LA Knight was signed by WWE, a lot of people worried he would be kept in NXT far longer than required due to his experience in the ring and also his tenure in Impact as Eli Drake. Recently he has appeared in dark segments where he has been managing Mace, the former Retribution member and according to Fightful Select this will serve as Knight’s call-up, no longer being a member of the NXT 2.0 roster.
“There are no plans moving forward for LA Knight in NXT and he’s already considered main roster after his Smackdown dark match appearances. His last NXT match came when he lost to Gunther at Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania 38 Weekend earlier this month.”

Knight’s tenure as an active competitor in NXT lasted over a year, with his charisma and mic skills being his clear most valuable qualities. Now that he is on the main roster and is no longer an active in ring competitor – we will hopefully see those skills to aid other competitors as their manager. We have yet to see Mace/Knight on TV, so time will tell how they fair as a pair.
