The IInspiration Announce Departure From IMPACT Wrestling
In a surprise announcement, former IMPACT Knockouts tag team champions the IInspiration have confirmed that they will be taking an indefinite leave from in-ring competition.
The announcement came via social media. A Tweet was issued by Jessica McKay, one half of the IInspiration.
McKay and Lee thanked IMPACT president Scott D’Amore for their time with the promotion, and stated, “We have had such an amazing experience, working with the incredible IMPACT staff and roster. We will cherish these IMPACT memories forever.”
D’Amore reiterated in his segment of the statement, “Cassie and Jessie are incredibly talented performers. Everyone at IMPACT wishes them every success in the future.”
The IInspiration are, as of now, the only female tag team in pro wrestling history to hold both the WWE women’s tag team championships and the IMPACT Knockouts tag team championships, respectively. Known in World Wrestling Entertainment as the IIconics under the ring names Billie Kaye and Peyton Royce, they were released by WWE in April 2021. They debuted in IMPACT as the IInspiration in October 2021 at the ppv event Bound For Glory.
