Over the last few days, wrestling fans have been in a sombre mood as usually happens when there is a substantial amount of releases on one day. Earlier this week we lost ten NXT superstars, one of them being former NXT Women’s Tag Champion Dakota Kai. Kai has suffered terrible luck when it comes to ACL injuries which kept her on the shelf for a large portion of her WWE career. This appears to have been a learning experience for Kai, as Bayley posted some kind tweets regarding the former NXT star.
Bayley injured her ACL last year prior to working a program with Bianca Belair and is due to return to TV soon. It is incredibly wholesome to see Bayley shout out the released star for helping so much. It is praise that will go a long way in showing that while Dakota Kai may no longer be a WWE superstar – she will continue to be a star elsewhere.
A possible match between the two would have been interesting – especially considering their face and heel persona’s mirror each other. Perhaps one day we will see the match if Dakota Kai finds her way back to the WWE.
