Roderick Strong Requests WWE Release

Roderick Strong signed with WWE in 2016 and has been on the NXT brand ever since.

He had previously been a member of the Undisputed Era stable along with Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. Most recently he has been part of the Diamond Mine stable in NXT 2.0. Malcolm Bivens, the manager of the Diamond Mine was released earlier this week.

Fightful Select has reported that Strong has requested his release from the WWE. Fightful also report that Strong has grown frustrated with his role within WWE, especially as The Diamond Mine has been stripped apart from the ground up since its inception. Strong was reported to have re-signed with the WWE prior to The Diamond Mine.

NXT sources also states that Strong was pitched a name change and there was a sense of surprise within the company that he was not included in the 29th of April NXT releases. Strong may be looking to join his former Undisputed Era partners in AEW or otherwise.
