Cody Rhodes has a lengthy history with championship titles, he even once brought back the white strapped Intercontinental championship in his first run with the WWE. This was a move that was welcomed by many fans as the white strapped Intercontinental Championship is seen by many as one of the best title belt designs in WWE history.
However there is one championship belt WWE fans have clamoured for to return, and Cody Rhodes wants to be the one to bring it back.
Cody recently appeared on WWE After the Bell with Corey Graves and spoke about potentially bringing back the Winged Eagle WWE Championship Belt:
“I did do that once with the Intercontinental title, it took a lot of work but it was the right call once we got there, I think there’s a particular design of the WWE Championship that people are very fond of. I’d say hypothetically it really would be something to achieve the ultimate industry dream, being the best of the best ever in terms of that moment in time, and then perhaps give it a fresh coat of paint with the winged eagle [title]. That would just be something, that’s all I can really say.”

Clearly Cody is hoping that once he reaches the top of the mountain, he can bring back a classic championship that fans will be salivating at the thought of it returning to our screens.
