AEW Fight Forever Stream Recap: Name Confirmed, 3 Characters Confirmed And Gameplay Showcased

The AEW Console game has been in development for a long time.

The game has had a lot of rumours surrounding it and Bodyslam confirmed yesterday that Owen Hart and Cm Punk will be playable characters in the game. Another report via Fightful Select yesterday stated that Sting, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and Ruby Soho will also be in the game.

The AEW games stream today began at 11PM ET and after a brief intro jumped straight into the in game footage, confirming two new names on the roster as well as showcasing entrances, movesets and gameplay. Kris Statlander and Nyla Rose had two showcase clips, showing their entrances, moves and renders. Graphically, the game looks polished and smooth. It isn’t photo realistic – but it is more than passable. Also confirmed in the stream was the fact Aubrey – AEW’s most notable referee, will feature in the game also. Evil Uno went on to say that the game will also come out on PC.

The game has been said to have been in the style of No Mercy and that appears to be the case with the small bit of gameplay we got to see today. The movements are smooth but still look arcade-like , which adds a level of nostalgia to the gameplay. Nyla Rose and Kris Statlander are interesting choices to reveal at this point in time. It shows the depth they have gone to with the roster in game. The final piece of information confirmed was the rumoured title – “Fight Forever” – being confirmed as the game title in the stream.
