Tony Schiavone is one of the voices of AEW. He is always on the call and records several interviews throughout the shows on all AEW programming. He has also been ringside for some notable events – some of which that could be valuable for Vice’s Dark Side Of The Ring and their next project on territories.
However, Schiavone declined an offer to work with Vice TV, citing the reaction to Dark Side Of The Ring episodes. Certain episodes of the Vice product featured interviews that were unflattering to many wrestlers. Speaking on What Happened When with… Schiavone explained why he turned down working with Vice:
“I have declined. I’m not going to talk to those guys at all. I will not do anything with those guys.”
“I’m thinking about how guys have helped them out doing interviews for their shows and how guys have ended up getting in trouble because of it. I’m not working for people like that. I like to feel I respect the business too much. I’m sure it will be good. I’m sure there will be somebody they interview and there will be a part of the interview that they shouldn’t air, but they will air it anyway”
