The Authors Of Pain were a tag team in WWE that had a very high ceiling, but were not used to their full potential. They were featured prominently in NXT before heading to the main roster in 2018. When they were released from the company in 2020, it came as a surprise to many and neither member of AOP has wrestling since prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Fightful Select reported last year that Rezar and Akam had told at least one promoter that they were retired from the ring. Promoters have had no luck attempting to book the pair. Fightful Select now reports that the two have reached out to talent regarding a possible wrestling event they will be running in Dubai. A source stated: “I’m not sure how often they’ll be wrestling, but they’re planning to do this one.”
