Candice LeRae is a well known member of the NXT roster. She held the NXT Women’s Tag Titles as well as having multiple cracks at the NXT Women’s Title.
Her husband Johnny Gargano’s WWE contract expired earlier this year, making him a free agent, but at the time it wasn’t known exactly how much time was left on Candice’s deal after it was reported to be up sometime in the Spring, or what her future with the company would be. It now looks as though Candice LeRae’s time with WWE has also come to an end, as she was added to the alumni section on WWE.com.
Fightful Select‘s Sean Ross Sapp reports that LeRae’s WWE contract has expired. Candice has been out of action due to having her and Johnny Gargano’s first child.
“.. Fightful was able to speak with WWE sources that confirmed she was a free agent.”
“As of a few weeks ago Fightful had heard there weren’t talks of an extension, but haven’t heard how that landed since then. We were told by one WWE source that if they had their way, the decision to freeze the contract during maternity leave would be “in her court,” but we weren’t given an indication that is the case.”
