Willie Mack Announces Departure From IMPACT

Willie Mack is officially a free agent.

Willie Mack, former X Division Champion, announced his departure from IMPACT! wrestling via Twitter:

After last nights Impact episode I am no longer with @IMPACTWRESTLING. My contract has expired and I decided to decline their new offer. So now I'm gonna be doing my thing on the independents. Hit up [email protected] if you want to see me in ya city or town. #MackMode pic.twitter.com/AaRYiXpM1g

The news is stunning given that Mack just appeared on IMPACT!’s latest installment on May 3, on DirectTV’s AxsTV network. Mack joined the promotion in 2018, after a career that spanned World Wrestling Entertainment, National Wrestling Alliance, and the AAA backed El Rey television show Lucha Underground. Upon entering IMPACT, Mack formed a tag team with Rich Swann. As a solo performer, he achieved the X Division title one time.

Mack is now, as his Tweet indicates, taking bookings on the independent scene.
