Charlotte Flair is a very polarizing figure within the WWE. She is by far the most decorated women’s competitor’s in the history of the promotion. At WrestleMania Backlash, Charlotte would lose in convincing fashion to Ronda Rousey in an “I Quit” match. The finish featured a modified armbar using a steel chair where Ronda ‘broke’ Charlotte’s arm.
Later on in the night, Kayla Braxton provided an update to fans that Charlotte had suffered a fractured radius and would be out for some time. Of course, this injury is within the confines of kayfabe and we know the true reason for writing out “The Opportunity”, thanks to The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez who tweeted that Charlotte would be getting married and that was the reason for her storyline injury:
Time will tell how long Flair will be out for, but if her reception from fans at WrestleMania Backlash was anything to go by, fans will be glad to have a break from Charlotte. Charlotte is currently engaged to AEW Superstar Andrade El Idolo.
