Prior to WrestleMania, reports surfaced from Fightful that Rhea Ripley would join Edge’s faction, Judgement Day soon. We saw purple lighting teases, Rhea turning heel on Liv Morgan and at WrestleMania Backlash featured the moment where Rhea joined the dark side.
During Edge’s match with AJ Styles on Sunday, Edge’s ally Damien Priest would make his way down the aisle – abusing a loophole in the contract that stated he was banned from ringside. Distracting Styles, Priest would be attacked from behind by Finn Balor. The two would brawl in and out of the ring and while the referee was distracted, a hooded figure leapt onto the apron and tripped Styles. This would give Edge the chance he needed to defeat Styles.
Following the bell ringing, the hooded figure would enter the ring and fall to one knee in front of Edge. While Byron Saxton screamed “Who is he?” over an over again, the hooded figure would reveal themselves to be Rhea Ripley, who grinned and posed with Edge following the reveal.
