One of AEW’s top women’s contenders may be side-lined with an injury.
Back in April, reports surfaced that Hirsch was injured at a recent AEW Dark taping. The Russian’s injury was unknown at the time when the reports surfaced but now however, we may have an answer to how long she will be out of action and what kind of injury she sustained.
In a PW Insider Q&A, Mike Johnson was asked about Leyla Hirsch’s status. Johnson pointed out that while it is not confirmed, AEW wrestlers believe she tore her ACL and/or her MCL. This would mean significant time on the shelf with fellow AEW roster member Darius Martin taking more than a year to return to action.
Hopeflly Hirsch returns to action sooner rather than later and the injury isn’t as serious as first thought.
