Young Rock Renewed For Third Season
The story of The Rock will continue on NBC.
“Young Rock,” tells the story of his evolution from the son of a pro wrestler to one of the sport’s biggest stars. The series has been a surprise hit for NBC as wrestling fans have flocked to the show as fans have enjoyed the comedic nature of the show.
On Thursday, NBC announced the show has been renewed for a third season. The sitcom, which is based on Dwayne Johnson’s life story, depicts how Johnson’s upbringing impacted him. “Young Rock” is currently in its second season and doing very well:
“It delves back into Dwayne Johnson’s life, continuing the storylines from Season 1 while also introducing new chapters we haven’t yet seen. As Dwayne and his loving, resilient family face new challenges and meet new wild characters of professional wrestling, Dwayne contemplates embracing the grind of professional wrestling himself. The show will explore the crazy rollercoaster that has shaped Dwayne into the man he is today and the larger-than-life people he’s met along the way.”
