Kevin Owens and Triple H have had an interesting relationship since Owens debuted in WWE.
When Kevin Owens debuted in NXT, he was treated as a threat immediately, turning on his best friend Sami Zayn on the same night and instantly putting him into a program with Zayn for the NXT Title. Owens would hold that title up till his main roster call-up to a feud with John Cena. Triple H successfully booked many independent successes fantastically on the NXT roster.
While speaking with TalkSPORT, Kevin Owens talked about the importance of Triple H in his career. He stated that he believes many stars wouldn’t have been in WWE if not for Triple H.
“I wasn’t surprised when I met him that he was a guy who was all about growing the industry and giving people a chance. He proved my assumptions right many times over the past few years and a lot of us – a lot of us – wouldn’t be here without him.”
