WWE Creative Team Never Had Plans For MITB To Lead To WrestleMania Main Event
A rumour that started based on a WWE promo has left the creative team stumped.
Regarding the Money In The Bank PPV later this month, a promo was dropped featuring Cody Rhodes who explained the stakes involved with the MITB concept. Rhodes referenced the ability of the briefcase to bring you into the main event of WrestleMania, due to one of the most famous examples of the MITB cash-in taking place in the main event.
Now, Ringside News was told that the winner of the Money in the Bank ladder matches are not set for a WrestleMania match. A tenured member of the creative team told us that, “no one knows why that is being said.” It was also confirmed Ringside News that, “the only guaranteed title match is the winner of the Royal Rumble.” This is also “a major source of confusion with writers and producers.” So, the fans are not alone in their confusion.
Time will tell if WWE will bother to address this confusion on TV.
