Jeff Hardy Wants Danhausen To Parody The Fiend
Sometimes parodies are the sincerest forms of flattery.
Danhausen has had a roller-coaster few months since he debuted in AEW in January. He has drawn much praise from fellow members of the AEW roster. Danhausen will team with Hook on the Double Or Nothing Buy-in later this month to take on Tony Nese and Mark Sterling.
While speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Jeff Hardy talked about meeting Danhausen. Hardy revealed that he and Danhausen discussed an interesting idea for his character to try. It would see Danhausen become a parody of The Fiend, called The Friend.
“Me and Danhausen talked about this, his face was painted and everything. We were talking about, he said, ‘what if, I don’t know, instead of The Fiend, he came out and he was ‘The Friend.’ That’s what’s so cool about professional wrestling, so much is possible.”
