“Large Portion” Of Stephanie McMahon’s Team Was Let Go From WWE Prior To Leave Of Absence Announcement

It seems there may be an underlying issue regarding Stephanie McMahon’s leave of absence from the WWE.

Stephanie McMahon has been involved with WWE since she was a small child. However, since she has grown up into the woman she is today, she is a pivotal part of keeping the company running. Earlier this week Stephanie announced she would be taking a step back from her role within WWE to spend time with her family.

One interesting thing to note was recently reported by Fightful Select. During one of the recent rounds of layoffs, several of Stephanie McMahon’s close co-workers were let go. A large portion of the team she worked directly with was let go at that time.

“Last year, much of Stephanie McMahon’s team that she worked with directly was dismantled during rounds of office layoffs. Those that we spoke to who worked directly with Stephanie McMahon spoke highly of her and said they enjoyed their time there. One said that they weren’t surprised by her decision, but didn’t have any reason behind it.”

Time will tell if Stephanie will return to the role she left and if this leave of absence is connected to her staff being cut.
