Pat McAfee looked like he wasn’t sure what was happening on Friday Night SmackDown.
Naomi and Sasha Banks’ walkout has certainly caused a stir. While Pat didn’t say a word while Michael Cole was telling the audience what punishment the pair would receive, he looked awkward and borderline upset by the news. Cole of course would be delivering the message from Vince McMahon and would announce the champions had been stripped, indefinitely suspended and it does not look good for the pair.
However, on his podcast the Pat McAfee Show, Pat would go into detail about the decision and how he knew nothing about it until Cole started speaking:
The Sasha and Naomi thing? That was my first time hearing it when Cole was saying it live. I have no idea what’s going on there, no clue. This is a very fascinating thing. These superstars…. they were champions?!? I don’t know what to believe in this whole thing. They keep me out of the loop on this whole thing. “

McAfee has commented in the past how he is usually not informed of everything within the WWE as a commentator. Time will tell how much farther WWE will go to punish the former tag champions.
