The Usos Becoming Unified Tag Champs May Have Been A Last Minute Decision By WWE
The Bloodline may have been close to not being draped in gold.
On SmackDown we witnessed a unification title bout last Friday night where The Usos would defeat RK-Bro to become the new RAW Tag Team Champions. With a little help from Roman Reigns that is. The show would close out with The Bloodline decimating RK-Bro, leaving them both injured following the assault.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about The Usos becoming the Unified Tag Team Champions. Meltzer revealed that it was a last minute decision by WWE.

It was a last minute decision. They had no planned finish. The plan was always the angle at the end, it was never Riddle and Orton winning. It was probably a DQ for Roman Reigns interfering. As for what they would do about the finish, they went back and forth on the finish and Vince made the call. Literally, there was no plan. The decision itself wasn’t made until Friday.

It is expected RK-Bro will individually challenge for Roman Reigns’ WWE Universal Championship over the course of the summer.
