It appears that NXT will lose some of their teams.
NXT has been butchered as of late in terms of talent being called up or released. Nearly every face on the show is a relatively new roster member. It also looks like NXT 2.0 will be effected due to Sasha Banks’ and Naomi walkout. A women’s tag title tournament will be held to decide the next champions.
Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that WWE plans on bringing in some teams from NXT to fill in some spots in the tournament.
“They have sent word down to NXT to think about some women that might be able to be a team,” Alvarez said. “That’s where we’re at right now so yea you might see Kacy and Kayden called up because ‘we need teams.’”
