Stephanie McMahon’s hiatus isn’t going to be a short one.
Earlier this month we found out that Stephanie McMahon will be stepping down from her role within the WWE as an executive. Stephanie cited wanting to spend time with her family as the reason for her hiatus, but will return to the company at some point.
In a recent PW Insider Q&A, Mike Johnson discussed the plan now that McMahon is taking a break. Johnson noted that Khan plans to bring in someone to oversee brand marketing. It does not look like Steph will be returning any time soon.
“In the short term, it is believed Nick Khan will be overseeing Stephanie McMahon’s former team. I would expect WWE, if they aren’t already, to begin looking for someone to oversee the Brand Marketing for the company. No one I’ve spoken to believes McMahon will be returning anytime soon, so the company will need to have someone full-time.”

Time will tell how long Stephanie will be away from the WWE but it is more than understandable why she decided to take a step away from her father’s company for now.
