Will Ospreay To WWE Superstars: ““You guys aren’t wrestlers, you’re actors and you just do wrestling.”

Will Ospreay is really not a fan of the way WWE handle pro wrestling.

We heard earlier this week that Will Ospreay has no intention of signing for the WWE at any point in his career. Ospreay currently works with NJPW and is likely to be a major player in the NJPW x AEW Forbidden Door PPV next month. Although, he has no intention of facing Kenny Omega at this PPV.

While speaking to the “WRESTHINGS podcast,” Will Ospreay was asked about his opinion when it came to WWE Superstars. Ospreay stated that he does not consider WWE Superstars as real pro wrestlers.

“You guys aren’t wrestlers, you’re actors and you just do wrestling and I don’t think that’s a dig. You guys make way more money than me like, good on you. But I just feel like when I say proudly, ‘That’s a wrestler. I am a wrestler, I am not an actor,’ but I know you guys can wrestle, you’re just not really allowed to show it, I guess … But other than you want to make a lot of money and retire, that’s what WWE is kind of for these days.”

Clearly, Ospreay believes that sports entertainment and pro wrestling are completely different. Time will tell who Ospreay will face at Forbidden Door, but he may find himself in the Twitter crosshairs of his old foe Seth Rollins after these comments.
