Johnny Progress AKA John Morrison Announced As Final PROGRESS Super Strong Style 16 Entrant
He’s been known as John Morrison, Johnny Impact, Johnny Mundo, Johnny Superstar and most recently Johnny Elite, but now he’ll be Johnny Progress, as John Morrison enters PROGRESS’ Super Strong Style 16.
Just this past Wednesday John Morrison was the surprise wild card entrant for the AEW Owen Hart Cup where he competed against Samoa Joe in a losing effort, John Morrisonhas now he has been announced as the final entrant for PROGRESS Super Strong Style 16 Tournament,
Progress made the announcement on social media earlier this evening;
Shortly after the announcement PROGRESS Progress released the following statement
“Johnny completes the 16-man line-up, joining an impressive array of talent, representing six different countries. Day one of the weekend, on Jubilee Bank Holiday Friday, will feature all eight first-round matches. The semi-finals will occur on Saturday, with the semi-finals and final on Sunday.
The full line-up, in alphabetical order, is:
Aramis, Big Damo, Callum Newman, Charles Crowley, Charlie Dempsey, Chris Ridgeway, Dean Allmark, Gene Munny, Jack Evans, Johnny PROGRESS, Kid Lykos, Maggot, Malik, Rickey Shane Page, Robbie X, Warren Banks
The tournament brackets, including all the all-important first round matches, will be announced via PROGRESS Wrestling’s social media accounts over the weekend of 28th and 29th May.”

The 16 competitors will be competing for the Vacant PROGRESS World Championship, following the events of PROGRESS Chapter 134: No Mountain High Enough when former champion Jonathan Gresham was striped of the World title.

Super Strong Style 16 weekend kicks off on the 3rd June to the 5th of June along with the titular tournament there will be whole host of other incredible matches.
Including a Triple Threat Tag Team Ladder Match for the PROGRESS Tag Team Championships, a two out of three falls match for the PROGRESS Women’s Championship. As well as an I Quit Match between former PROGRESS World Champion Cara Noir and Spike Trivet where the loser must leave PROGRESS.
