It appears Roderick Strong is not being taken off NXT 2.0.
Roderick Strong has had a hectic couple of months in the WWE. He requested his release from the WWE and had it denied and on the most recent NXT 2.0 show featured an update on Strong. It was announced Strong has an ankle injury and will miss some time.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Strong is not going away. The fact is that NXT 2.0 has plans for him to be involved in the Diamond Mine’s angle.
Roderick Strong was said on TV to have an ankle injury, which led to the Strong & Damon Kemp vs. Pretty Deadly match being off TV this week. I was just told Strong is okay and this will be added to the Diamond Mine storyline

Time will tell how long Strong will be off NXT TV but it does seem WWE have a plan for the former member of the Undisputed Era.
