It appears three of AEW’s most talented prospects almost ended up in NXT.
NXT has had a complete rebrand over the last year with everything changing. The presentation, the logo and the booking have changed massively as NXT 2.0 has become much more focused on developing new talent. William Regal was released when this rebrand began.
Talksport’s Alex McCarthy recently took to Twitter and reported that Willaim Regal planned to sign Ricky Starks, Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia to NXT. This was before WWE decided to change directions with NXT.

While Yuta, Garcia and Starks would have been excellent signing’s for Triple H’s NXT, WWE decided they did not suit NXT 2.0’s changes.
