So Samoa Joe isn’t walking out.
There has been high drama at AEW fan fest the day before Double Or Nothing. MJF was scheduled for a meet and greet with fans and no showed the appearance with rumors stating he was in the casino gambling. This has been treated as an incident regarding contract talks which has drawn the ire of many fans. Another star who missed his meet and greet was Samoa Joe.
Bryan Alvarez reported that while MJF’s situation is sketchy, Samoa Joe missing the fan fest was a simple case of miscommunication. There seem to be no similar issues with Samoa Joe and AEW like there are with MJF.
It appears the situation with Samoa Joe and the Fan Fest was a communication issue, so totally different from whatever is happening with MJF, who did no-show.

It’s good to know AEW will not have to deal with two major controversies before the Double Or Nothing PPV even begins. Samoa Joe squares off with Adam Cole in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament at Double Or Nothing while MJF is still scheduled to face Wardlow.
