Stokely Hathaway And Athena Debut Following TBS Title Match At Double Or Nothing
Two very big signings from Tony Khan,
At AEW Double Or Nothing Sunday we witnessed a TBS title match that was very overly booked. There was a lot of interference and while the crowd started off quiet, Jade Cargill and Anna Jay earned their respect and by the end of the match the crowd were on their feet. However, part of that may have been something to do with Stokely Hathaway (formerly known as Malcolm Bivens) making his way down to the ring. It appears that Stokely will replace Smart Mark Sterling as Cargill’s manager.
Following the finish of the match and Cargill’s title retention, The Baddies attempted to attack Jay in the aftermath but Kris Statlander would rush to the ring to prevent it. However, the real surprise would come shortly after when an unknown theme began to play until “The Fallen Goddess” Athena *(Formerly Known as Ember Moon) would appear, making her debut for the promotion.
It was announced by Tony Khan on Twitter that both Stokely and Athena had been signed to AEW.
