This week on Monday Night RAW, we saw a segment between both Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins as Seth taunted Cody from the stairs of the arena. While the segment began with a simple promo from Rhodes, it developed into a promo battle between the pair. The two stars have been in this storyline since WrestleMania 38 and look to finish their rivalry inside Hell In A Cell.
However, Seth isn’t going to wait for Satan’s structure before he gets in a few burns. During their promo, Rollins made reference to Cody’s time in AEW by saying, “You left 6 years ago and then you and your little friends tried to tear down what I built here, and when that didn’t work, you came back here” and “You don’t get to take a sledgehammer to the throne and then come back and try to take that throne from me.”
Rhodes famously smashed a throne at AEW Double or Nothing 2019, which was a not-so-subtle shot at Triple H.
The segment ended with Rollins and Rhodes brawling through the crowd before they were separated by officials. The pair will square off once again inside Hell In A Cell this Sunday.
