Are AEW PPVs Too Long?
One of the many interesting topics that came up after Double or Nothing is the length of AEW PPVs. Are they too long? That’s the million-dollar question.
One of the things to always consider about AEW PPVs is the price of 50$ and Tony Khan has always mentioned he books his PPVs to give the people the best show possible and justifying why they paid that amount of money for a PPV.
The booking of AEW pretty much gives their fans what they want most of the time, so regular buyers of the AEW PPVs don’t seem to mind the length of the shows, especially when you see the numbers and most of the PPVs in AEW do pretty good numbers in comparison to the previous year.
AEW is a promotion that gives emphasis to matches and gives them the time they need in most cases. Matches are the selling point of the AEW PPVs and having 2-hour PPVs would not help at all. WWE can sell 2-hour PPVs and be fine if they disappoint fans, meanwhile AEW doesn’t have that luxury.
So, are AEW PPVs too long? In short no, most fans are ok with this and the numbers show they enjoy the long PPVs. Could AEW PPVs do with one or two less matches? Yes, it’s possible. Money talks at the end of the day and fans are paying for these PPVs and AEW is making great PPV buys so changing anything right now would be foolish.
