Mick Foley Wore Shoe Lifts Vs The Undertaker To Look More Menacing
Mick Foley has had a legendary career in pro wrestling. Making a career out of getting beaten the hell out of by bigger stars, he also had a menacing character known as Mankind. He was deranged and vicious, very different to how people are used to Mick Foley nowadays. One notable feud that Foley had as Mankind was with The Undertaker.
While speaking on the inaugural episode of Foley is Pod, the Hall of Famer revealed that he wore shoe lifts to look more menacing against The Undertaker.
“I was wearing the boots. I wanted to get used to the boots because the idea at that time was I was going to wrestle with lifts on, so that I could be taller and look more menacing for The Undertaker. I was a legit 6’4” when I worked, but I hunched over. I was gnarled over, and I think when I came into the picture in WWE, I was immediately with The Undertaker.”

Now of course, Foley was a sizeable bit shorter than Undertaker so shoe lifts were a good idea at the time to help Foley appear more of a threat to the near seven footer.
