The rematch for the ONE Flyweight Championship is officially set for August 27th.
Adriano Moraes will defend the ONE Flyweight Championship against Demetrious Johnson in a rematch, their first bout went down on April 7th, 2021 and ended in the 2nd round with a KO win for Moraes. This marked the first time Johnson was defeated by a finish.
At ONE Championship: X Moraes successfully defended against Yuya Wakamatsu and Johnson defeated Rodtang Jitmuangnon in the co-main event in a special rules bout. The special rules contest was set for four, three-minute rounds alternating between Muay Thai and MMA rules. The fight started under Muay Thai rules and switched to MMA for the following rounds.
The 20-3 ONE Flyweight champion has held the title 3 times, defended it 4 times overall and won ONE’s MMA Knockout of the year with his win over Johnson.
The rematch will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, it will be ONE’s first event broadcast on Amazon Prime and the first event taking place during US prime time since ONE on TNT 3 on April 21st, 2021.
