Is it a work? Is it real? Who knows at this point.
MJF has been the talk of the wrestling world since Saturday, and that was before he opened his mouth. While he lost in vicious fashion at Double Or Nothing to Wardlow, MJF has arguably come out of the match with more momentum than Wardlow. After AEW Dynamite, it is arguable that MJF is the biggest star in professional wrestling at this point in time.
The promo that MJF cut on Dynamite blurred the lines between reality and kayfabe and he went full scorched earth in a promo that has received incredible praise with many labelling it the best promo in AEW’s short history. However, you cannot find this promo or any acknowledgement of it on any of AEW’s social media’s as they continue to turn this shoot into a work.
Now, AEW have gone one step further as the company has unfollowed MJF on every social media platform they have. This is of course to sell the legitimacy of the angle and we may never know how much of the storyline is actually legitimate.
