CM Punk and FTR have been friends for a while off screen. They have tremendous respect for each other and we saw them team up on AEW Dynamite to take on Max Caster and The Gunn Club. They would win the match in definitive fashion with Punk picking up a minor injury in the process.
FTR also came out to congratulate Punk after his AEW World Title win at Double Or Nothing on Sunday and since fans have been calling for the trio to be an on screen faction going forwards and now it looks like fans will get their wish.
Punk took to Twitter and officially named their stable CMFTR. Dax Harwood also followed up on the announcement.
One day I road my schwin bike to some dirt hills I used to jump and ride when I was a kid. When I got there, there were two kids on their bmx bikes. They told me to leave. I didn’t. We scrapped. Black eyes. Bloody lips. Next day and the whole summer we rode bikes TOGETHER. CMFTR
