Stokely Hathaway Turns Down 250K Dollars A Year Deal With WWE
The formerly known Malcolm Bivens debuted for AEW at Double Or Nothing, becoming Jade Cargill’s new manager in the process. Stokely had been released by the WWE 30 days prior, meaning he was free to sign with the promotion.
According to Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Stokely was offered a 250,000 dollars per year deal to remain with the WWE. Stokely of course would turn down the offer and chose to sign with AEW instead.
“It should be noted Hathaway was offered a WWE main roster contract a few months ago at $250,000 and turned it down, so for him to turn it down, he almost had to be knowing he had a strong deal elsewhere. Khan said he’s wanted Hathaway for the promotion since its start. — Stokely turned down $250K a year from WWE.”

Stokely was not the only fresh face that we saw at AEW Double Or Nothing as we also saw the AEW debut of Athena in the promotion. The two are linked in storyline now and Athena could be the one to defeat Jade Cargill.
