Paul London Had Discussions To Join AEW As A Coach

AEW have a lot of talent in their locker room who are not just ex WWE guys. Some have wrestled in the biggest companies outside of WWE at different times. One of these such talents is Paul London who at one point wrestled for WWE and Ring Of Honor, winning the SmackDown Tag titles with Brian Kendrick in the mid 2000’s.

During Cafe De Rene With Rene Dupree, London said that he asked about joining AEW and there were “loose discussions,” but they just weren’t on the same page since they had enough coaches.

“Last year, there had been very loose discussions between myself and [AEW], and it was more so like, ‘Hey, I would like to help. If there is a way for me to help from like a coaching standpoint or producer standpoint’. Was shot down like, immediately. Like, ‘No, no, no, no, no. We’ve got enough coaches, got enough agents.”

Of course, AEW have a lot of agents and coaches in the back that have retired from the ring or are in the twilight of their in ring careers. What do you think of these discussions with Paul London?
