What a surprise.
Hangman Adam Page had an excellent run as AEW World Champion, being the one to defeat Kenny Omega to unseat him from the top of AEW. It was one of AEW’s longest running storylines and Hangman defended the belt plenty of times until he was defeated by CM Punk at Double Or Nothing. Page is scheduled to return to the ring next week on AEW Dynamite vs David Finlay.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Adam Page’s World Title run.
“As far as Hangman Adam Page, he’s a damn good worker. I don’t think there was a highlight put on his title run. I don’t think he got any of the glitz and glamour.”
“It’s almost like one of those things when you become the champion, but you’re not in the main event. You’re just on the show and you’re not the main event.”

Of course Booker has repeatedly been criticising AEW as long as fans can remember. Time will tell if AEW will keep a shine on Hangman Page following his title reign ending at Double Or Nothing.
