Jim Cornette makes another comment about an AEW star.
Darby Allin is a fan favourite for many as his high risk style and willingness to put his body on the line has led to many to call him one of the pillars of AEW. He has also been working with Sting as a team. Most recently, Darby has been feuding with Kyle O’Reilly and the other members of the Undisputed Elite.
While speaking on Cornette’s Drive-Thru, Jim Cornette expressed his doubts over Allin’s future as a singles star. This is due to his lack of promo skills.
“I think honestly, Darby has this charisma and you know he’s gonna hurt himself bad and be out of the business at some point, you know, way earlier than he should. But, now I think unfortunately without somebody that really has a plan, knows what they are doing to get behind him and he just can’t f***ng talk. Has he gone as far as he can go here without a really good booker doing something for him and not being able to cut promos?”

While Darby isn’t the perfect promo he has a history of talking with his actions. Cornette may be right in the future but for now, Darby is perfectly content with putting his body on the line over his promo abilities.
