Pat McAfee Reveals Why He Wasn’t At Hell In A Cell

It appears we know why one half of the SmackDown announce team did not appear at Hell In A Cell.

This past Sunday Hell In A Cell aired from Chicago and the card delivered in many ways. While it certainly wasn’t the best PPV of the year, the card was solid and fun, in particular with the main event of Seth Rollins and a badly injured Cody Rhodes. One noticeable omission from the WWE broadcast team during the PPV was that of Pat McAfee, one half of the SmackDown announce team along with Michael Cole.

Corey Graves would replace McAfee for the SmackDown match on the card and on his show, Pat revealed why he didn’t attend the event:

“I was not at Hell in a Cell, SmackDown only had one match and all parties agreed that it was probably not worth the trip to Chicago and back for that. It ended up being a 13-minute match,”

What do you think of Pat’s reasoning for not turning up at Hell In A Cell? Pat is expected to be back at the commentary table on Friday Night SmackDown later this week.
