Jeff Hardy Felt Like A Ghost In His Final WWE Run

Jeff Hardy did not enjoy the end of his WWE tenure.

There was a lot of controversy with Jeff Hardy at the time of his WWE release. Originally, it was stated that Hardy had been released from his contract for a refusal to enter rehab. It turned out however, that Jeff had not been under the influence like WWE had thought. The promotion would try to repair the damage with a Hall Of Fame induction for Hardy but he turned it down and ended up signing with AEW earlier this year.

During his recent appearance on “Talk Is Jericho,” Jeff Hardy talked about those strange final days with Vince McMahon’s company. Hardy said he “felt like a ghost” during that period.

“I was pretty crushed that day, I was like, ‘Okay, this is it, I don’t know why I am here, they’re really doing this to me. That’s not an arrogant thing to say … I shouldn’t be doing that, but I did it and I was like, ‘Man, what does this mean?’”

Of course, Jeff has had a good start to his final run as a pro wrestler in AEW and despite some injuries, will likely continue on the road to the AEW Tag Titles with his brother Matt.
