More WWE Releases Possibly Coming Soon
It appears we may be seeing more stars being future endeavoured.
The last batch of WWE releases happened at the end of April, with the most notable names being Dexter Lumis, Dakota Kai and Malcolm Bivens. The trio have found themselves in a good position post release, with all of them having indie dates booked and Bivens debuting in AEW at Double Or Nothing.
On the latest Bryan & Vinny & Craig Show, Bryan Alvarez ranted about the approach to talent evaluation in WWE. Alvarez noted that WWE recently completed their regular six-month evals. There could be some familiar names about to be let go.
“You know what I heard today? I don’t have all of the details, but with NXT 2.0 they got the new deal where you got six months to get better in this sh*tty program here. Who in the world could possibly get better in six months working no shows and just doing horrible stuff on television?”
“But every six months, they evaluate you, and if you aren’t getting better then [you’re] done for and apparently they’ve made some evaluations including some names you would know. So we might get some changes coming to NXT 2.0….not a cancellation, some people might be cancelled.”

There has been much speculation about the possible return to the WWE for Bray Wyatt. At the time of his WWE release, he may have been one of the top earning performers in the company. If he were to return, WWE would likely cut some talent in order to pay the man what he’s worth. Time will tell who will be on this batches release list.
