Adam Cole Injury Update: What’s Injured And How Long He’s Been Hurt
Adam Cole may be a bit more hurt than first known.
Adam Cole has been on a tear as of late in AEW. He is the current Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament winner, defeating Samoa Joe at Double or Nothing last month to win the tournament – and the championship belt that comes with it. However, during the match, Cole was injured and Dave Meltzer reported the injury was to do with his shoulder.
Now, Fightful Select have reported new information with regards to Cole’s injury, including how long he’s been injured and the severity of the injury.
With recent conversation surrounding Cole battling a series of injuries, Fightful’s sources indicated that Cole has been fighting through a labrum injury for quite some time, spanning back to when he was feuding with Hangman Adam Page over the AEW World Championship title.
Sources that spoke to Fightful “claimed that the labrum was torn,” although that has not been officially confirmed by AEW nor Adam Cole himself.
For those of us who are not orthopedically inclined, a labrum is a cup-shaped rim of cartilage that lines and reinforces a ball-and-socket joint such as found in the hips and shoulders.

Time will tell how long Cole will be out of the ring, but previous reports have stated Cole will be ready to go for Forbidden Door. Hopefully the injury is not as serious as it sounds.
