CM Punk Injury Revealed

It looks like we finally know Punk’s injury and what surgery he requires.

CM Punk announced last week on AEW Rampage that he would be taking some time off and to get surgery for an injury to his leg. He has gone through the surgery and AEW reported live on air that the surgery went well with the doctor’s “very happy” with the results.

Now, it appears Punk seemingly has confirmed to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio that the injury he sustained was a broken foot:

“So Punk had his surgery today. I don’t know why they don’t say it was a broken foot, and he hasn’t actually said it was a broken foot, but he had foot surgery today, and I guess it went well.”

“You know I broke my foot about 5/6 years ago right? So, Punk asked me all about when I broke my foot. So, it’s like, I guess he had a broken foot, right?”

“He didn’t tell me had a broken foot, but he asked me, did I need surgery and questions about a broken foot, so I presume it’s a broken foot.”

Of course if CM Punk did break his foot, we now know his timeframe for a return. Between 3-5 months, Punk will likely be back in the ring.
