Cody Rhodes Makes History With Hell In A Cell Match
It’s been a hell of a ride for Cody Rhodes since Hell In A Cell last Sunday. Cody would wrestle with a torn pectoral tendon and would defeat Seth Rollins inside the Cell on Sunday and has drawn wide praise for the match and how good it was. Images of Cody’s injury also went viral, with many fans commenting on how bad the injury looked.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Hell in a Cell managed to get the usual number of Google searches that a WWE special usually gets. However, what’s interesting is the fact that Cody Rhodes himself managed to get the same number of Google searches, making history.
“The show had the usual 200,000 Google searches that most WWE PPV shows get, similar to that of Double or Nothing the week before. There were another 200,000 searches that day for Rhodes, the most of any individual wrestler on a pro wrestling PPV show in years.”

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out the reason why Cody was searched so much on Sunday but it seems like WWE made the right call bringing Cody back as they continue to reap the rewards of the signing.
